We are almost on our way out of Malaysia. There were a few more things on our list that we will not be able to get to because of the flooding and monsoon weather in middle Malaysia and the East Coast.
Though, you wouldn’t think that it was monsoon season from where we are now. We got on a plane at Kuala Terengganu and headed for Pulau Langkawi, an island on the North West tip of Malayisa, right at the bottom of Thailand. The weather has been amazing and I am starting to get brown again.
Langkawi is a much bigger island than Tioman, on our first day we rented some scooters to get around. I wanted to ride all the way to the other side, but it started raining when we were about half way and had to turn back. I think we could have kept going… but these little pansies wanted to go back. The rain here doesn’t last for more than a few minutes and when the sun comes back it is so hot that you dry instantly.
We ended our first day on the island sitting in some beanbags on the beach drinking Chang and watching the sunset. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life and it lasted FOREVER.
